And Baby Makes Its Inaugral Appearance…

IMG_4691_2

Upon announcing last week, requests for baby bump photos came through from many. Though I didn’t primp properly for a proper portrait session with G, here’s a photo at 14 weeks 5 days…it’s from today just after we put up our tree. Yes, as you can see, there’s definitely a growing baby in there :^)

Though my weight gain is right on track, I can’t help but feel a bit whale-like. Goodness, we’re in for a very long journey…just over 25 weeks to go.

You are beautiful (as usual!) and glowing! Can’t wait to watch this baby bump grow and finally meet your little bundle of joy.

  2. Nancy says:

You are as beautiful as ever!

    Looking good!

Very long journey? It only STARTS in 25 weeks and goes on for many years after! :)

Don’t get your hopes pinned on the due date. Due dates are as uncertain as they were 5000 years ago. Technology has made no improvements in that department. 50% come by the due date, and 50% are late!

You’re both very kind. I’ve been very lucky so far…fingers crossed I can keep the cravings at bay for the duration :)

Jim–you’re right. This is just the start, as we’ve now become very aware after visiting friends with a 6 month old. We immediately went out to buy tons of books that focus on the bit after the baby actually arrives. Nice little perspective shifter, that…

Naturally, we’re hoping for an early baby (though not too early). My mom had all of us early and both G’s mom and sister have delivered 2ish weeks early, as well. Let’s hope it’s genetic somehow…Though…with my luck, I’ll probably have to wait around until JUNE! :)

Oh Kim – thanks for posting this – you look amazing! Happy, glowing, perfect! Keep the pics coming! It is a long journey for sure, but by far, the most amazing one I’ve ever been on. You’re gonna love it!

    Hey, Leigh-Emma!

We’ll definitely do our best to keep the photos coming. When I posted this, I could tell but only because I was hypersensitive. I think things have clearly progressed as folks are now offering to give up their seats on the Tube for me. Very sweet and polite, that. But, a clear indicator that my baby bump is officially on display :)

Thanks for keeping up your blog over the years so that I now know what we have to look forward to…

Congratulations on the up and coming addition. All the best to both of you in the coming year 2011. I love reading your blog.
I plan to travel more in 2 years or so to Syria & Tunisia are on my list and several other places; just waiting til Savana graduates.

Thank you, Brenda! We’re excited…as all soon to be parents must be, I’m sure. Would love to see you while you’re over in a couple years’ time (provided we’re still here ourselves :) ). We haven’t yet been to Syria or Tunisia, but have been to Israel and Morocco…both were positive experiences. Happy planning! :)
