All It Takes is a Phone Call

As you probably know, we are planning our Christmas trip to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic at the moment. When planning European trips from the US, I relied heavily on the internet and e-mail, both because of the language difference and the time difference. Well, here in London, the time difference is not an issue and I have been working on my German over the last month.

So, we had planned to attend a Mozart Dinner Concert for Christmas in Salzburg — unfortunately when going to book the tickets last night on the internet, they were sold out. Running into technical a problem booking for another night, I decided it was best to call them. I picked up the phone this morning and called Austria — and in my best German asked if they understood English :^).

I asked about tickets for Christmas Day and it turns out there were still some available. (They just close out the internet sales early). I reserved two tickets and our Christmas Dinner is all set!
